Laws and Customs for Srathdale Fantasy Renaissance Faire

Hear ye, hear ye! By royal decree of the Crown and in accordance with the laws of this realm and the great State of Washington, all visitors, merchants, performers, and subjects within these fair grounds shall abide by these statutes and customs, enacted for the safety, merriment, and prosperity of all who gather here.

⚔️Edicts on Weaponry and Defense⚔️

Peace-Binding Required: All weapons must be peace-tied and inspected at the royal gates.

Royal Prohibition: Any item deemed a hazard to public safety shall be denied entry.

👑Royal Standards of Conduct👑

Noble Bearing: All subjects shall conduct themselves with honor and decorum befitting a family gathering.

Banishment for Misconduct: Those exhibiting unruly, disruptive, or offensive behavior shall be removed from the realm.

Safety Mandates: All posted safety regulations must be followed without exception.

Royal Prerogative: The Crown reserves the right to remove anyone whose behavior threatens the safety, security, or order of the realm.

🏛️General Kingdom Ordinances🏛️

Royal Provisions Only: No outside food or beverages (except for medical needs, bottled water, or infant sustenance).

Beasts of Burden: Animals are allowed. Must be Licensed, Leashed, and Controlled

Royal Commerce Only: No unauthorized vending or solicitation within the realm.

No Flying Machines: Drones or remote-controlled aircraft are forbidden.

Designated Smoking Areas: Smoking is permitted only outside the fair area (NO EXCEPTIONS. We don't care it's outside, people get sick.)

Royal Inspection: All bags and containers are subject to search upon entry.

Proper Documentation: No re-entry without proper hand stamp or ticket validation.

Trinket Trading

Signaling Participation: Participants often wear an orange or yellow ribbon or a "trinket trader" pin to indicate they are open to trading.

Voluntary Exchange: Never force a trade or get upset if someone declines, especially when trading with children.

Respect Vendor Spaces: Do not trade inside active vendor tents unless they are specifically participating, and never offer to trade for items for sale.

Prohibited Items: NO liquids, items with high value, or items that look like what vendors are selling (e.g., jewelry, leather, chainmail).

Safety First: Items should not be hazardous or easily broken. Always ask parents before giving a trinket to a child.

Not a Tip Substitute: Do not use trinkets to tip performers or staff. Trinkets do not replace currency, and individuals can be banned from the faire.

Search Authority: The Royal Guard reserves the right to inspect any items brought into the realm.

Keep the Realm Clean: Please dispose of waste in designated receptacles and help maintain the beauty of our faire grounds.

Srathdale is not responsible for uneven ground, walking into active combat areas, or other acts that may get you wounded on faire grounds.
